On Tuesday night at Bike Dog Brewing in West Sacramento, #1 seed Gone Fishin’ 🎣 continued to make their case for the latter, capturing their second consecutive championship and cementing themselves as the team to beat in Xoso Cornhole.

The playoff bracket featured plenty of drama early on. #5 seed Shuck Me I'm So Corny knocked off #4 seed Just Baggin in the quarterfinals, while #6 seed Sinkin and Drinkin pulled off an upset of #3 seed The PHC to keep their championship hopes alive. The Cinderella run continued in the semifinals as Sinkin and Drinkin edged out #2 seed Glory Holes in a thrilling 3-2 battle, punching their ticket to the finals as the lowest remaining seed.

Waiting for them was a familiar force. Gone Fishin’, who earned the top seed through a dominant regular season, showed exactly why they sat atop the standings. They cruised past Shuck Me I'm So Corny in the semifinals before delivering a commanding 4-0 performance in the championship match. With the title on the line, Gone Fishin’ left no doubt, shutting the door on the underdog run and claiming another league crown.

Back to back championships are impressive in any league, but doing it while carrying the pressure of the #1 seed makes it even more remarkable. Gone Fishin’ has now won two straight Tuesday night cornhole championships in 2026 and continues to set the standard for the competition. The only question left is: can they make it three in a row next season? The rest of the league will certainly be looking to stop them, but until someone does, the crown still belongs to Gone Fishin’. 🎣🏆
