Our Summer 2015 Friday Cornhole season wrapped up last Friday with an 8 team single elimination playoff featuring several seasoned veteran teams as well as a few new contenders.
In the opening round experience reigned supreme as all four teams that moved on to the semis were former champions. In our first semi-final the top seeded Cornhorn Tossers exacted a measure of revenge by defeating last seasons champs Unprotected Sacks in a thriller 3-2. Unprotected Sacks had beaten Cornhorn Tossers in the playoffs last season.
Meanwhile, Bag Em & Tag Em emerged unscathed from a semi-final showdown with The Hole Enchiladas in a well played match 3-1. Thus our championship match was set between two legendary Cornhole teams. Who would add to their legacy?
Bag Em & Tag Em got rolling early in the finals, setting the tone by grabbing the first game. From that point they never looked back, the tosses were accurate and timely as Bag Em & Tag Em slammed the door shut on the hopes of their foes, winning in dominant 3-0 fashion.
Congratulations to Bag Em & Tag Em and to all of the teams that competed in a great Cornhole season.
