Dodgeball - Thursdays (Winter '15)

Our Winter 2015 Thursday Dodgeball season wrapped up last night with the top 6 teams in the league taking the floor in pursuit of the coveted championship.

#4 seed WTF??? and #3 seed Dodgeaholics got the night rolling by winning their opening round matches comfortably and setting up two semi-final matches between perennial contenders.

In our first semi-final, top seed and championship favorite OG Cheese came through a difficult test from WTF??? 4-2 securing their spot in the finals. In our second semi-final Dodgeaholics were on the top of their game defeating past champion Bats With Boobs 4-1.





In the championship game both teams were pumped up and ready to play at the start of the whistle. Balls were flying everywhere and the stakes were high. Greg on OG Cheese made a few amazing throws in the first game, but it was Dodgeaholics who got the first point on the board. The next game was more serious and it came down to only Sara on the the court for Dodgeaholics and OG Cheese came in with a finishing blow making the score 1-1. This marked half time and both teams could taste the victory, but in the 3rd game it was Mark on Dodgeaholics who threw the final ball at Nikki (OGC) who held on as last player for the longest time. Going into the 4th game down by 1 point, Greg on OGC tried his hardest to bring his team back and tie it up, but was taken out by Brock on Dodgeaholics. It came down to the last few minutes of the game with OGC trying to make a come back, but no matter how many balls Kristin dodged she eventually got hit by Ron's finishing throw to end the game by a final score of Dodgeaholics 4 OG Cheese 1.
