Our Spring 2014 Spiker Volleyball season wrapped up last night as A Bump For Diggler capped off a fantastic season by bringing home the championship.

In the regular season, A Bump for Diggler remarkably only lost one game, leaving them undefeated in the season. Heading into the championship game, they had won matches against all of their possible opponents and knew what needed to be done to be crowned champions of this season.

When Nature Balls beat How I Set Your Mother in the last game of the season and advanced to the Championship round to play A Bump for Diggler. The first match was tied 5 – 5, but then A Bump for Diggler took the lead and made some great digs, hard hits, and clever tips. When Nature Balls kept the score close, but A Bump for Diggler won the first match, 21- 16. When Nature Balls, playing with only 5, took their fate in to their own hands and came out swinging. A Bump for Diggler gave them a run for their money, but When Nature Balls had killer serves and strong blocks and were able to keep their lead and win the second match, 21 – 18. The final match had intense rallies, amazing saves, and deadly spikes. When Nature Balls started off with a lead, but A Bump for Diggler tied it up, 12 – 12. Now was the time for one of the teams to make their move and go home with the victory.

A Bump for Diggler, with their undefeated season in their sights ran away with the last half of the match, becoming the spiker Champions.
