First Place

Softball - Wednesdays (Late Spring '16)

The "Fly Ballers" are our Wednesday Night Softball league champions after a fantastic defensive outing in the championship game that led them to victory. Heading into the game their opponent, "The BallBarains: This Time it's Personal" were decent favorites having gone 8-0 through their regular season games. But, that didn't matter much to the "Fly Ballers"!

The "Fly Ballers" got off to a great start picking up three runs in the top of the 1st inning, giving them an early lead. "The BallBarians" didn't stay quiet though and answered with an early run of their own to cut the deficit to two. After that both teams upped the ante and played great defense for the next four innings.

In the final inning the "Fly Ballers" had a chance to add to their lead, but the "BallBarians" made a great play to throw out the runner on a tag up for a double play in the top of the 6th, keeping the game within reach. The "Fly Ballers" wouldn't let up though, as their defense made quick work of "The BallBarians" offense in the bottom of the 6th, making them the champions!

Congrats to the "Fly Ballers" for a complete team win in the championship game against a high quality opponent. We hope to see them take a shot at defending their title next season!
