Volleyball - Wednesdays: Beginner at MSC (Late Summer '26)

Wednesday night at Mather Sports Center brought the Beginner Volleyball season to an exciting finish, with the top four seeds battling it out for the championship. When the dust settled, #1 Balls Deep lived up to their top billing, surviving a tough semifinal before putting together a dominant performance in the championship to take home the title! 🏆🔥

The night started with #1 Balls Deep taking on #4 Sets Ed, and the top seed immediately found themselves in a battle. Sets Ed refused to make things easy, taking a set and forcing the semifinal to go the distance. Balls Deep ultimately held strong when it mattered most, pulling out the 2–1 victory and securing the first spot in the championship.

On the other side of the bracket, #2 Just the Tip faced #3 Spike The Bag for their chance at the final. Just the Tip took care of business in straight sets, earning a 2–0 sweep and setting up exactly what the bracket predicted: a showdown between the #1 and #2 seeds for the championship!

After being pushed to three sets in the semifinal, Balls Deep came into the final looking completely locked in. They jumped out in front and controlled the opening set from start to finish, taking it 21–10 and putting themselves just one win away from the title. Just the Tip tried to turn things around in Set 2 and made it a closer contest, but Balls Deep wasn't about to let this one slip away. The #1 seed closed it out 21–15, completing the 2–0 sweep and officially claiming the championship! 🏐🔥

After finishing the regular season at the top of the standings, Balls Deep went all the way when it mattered most. A three set semifinal test followed by a championship sweep was the perfect ending to their season.

Congratulations to Balls Deep, your Wednesday Beginner Volleyball Champions at MSC! 🏆🎉
