Hugh Jass Win!

"HUGH JASS PITCHES" is our Downtown Division champion after a narrow 3-2 championship game win. The win caps an impressive 8-1-1 record for the season.

It was a great run from start to finish, with "HUGH JASS PITCHES" starting the season off with back to back wins. They'd hit a bump in the road though, dropping their third game of the season to "Always a Bridesmaid" in a tough shutout loss. However, they regrouped and went on to be undefeated for the remainder of the season, closing out their last five games with a 4-0-1 record.

In the playoffs they took out "I'm Kick James Pitch" in the first round of the playoffs by the score of 6-3, securing their spot in the title game. On the other side of the bracket "We Got the Runs" also looked in control, winning by a comfortable 7-2 margin.

The championship game was a battle of two heavyweights, as the to two teams from the regular season faced off in an epic battle. Not only that, "We Got the Runs" was trying to make it back to back titles in the Downtown Division.

But, "HUGH JASS PITCHES" was just too good, holding a potent "We Got the Runs" offense to just 2 runs in the biggest game of the season. It was their greatest strength, never allowing more than 4 runs in any game this season. Even then, their opponent only scored 4 runs twice in 10 games.

Congratulations to "HUGH JASS PITCHES" on a great kickball season! Their defense was one of the best all season, and when push came to shove that is what led them to their championship.

Their D Came to Play

"Our D Always Comes Ready to Play" is our newest Midtown Division champion, blowing out "2 Legit 2 Kick" in was expected to be an extremely close game. The previous meeting between the two ended in a one run nail-biter, but "Our D Always Comes Ready to Play" didn't put anything to chance. Instead, they posted 13 runs, en route to a 10 run victory.

Besides that one loss earlier this season to "2 Legit 2 Kick" they were undefeated, finishing the season with a 9-1 record. True to their name, defense was their strength. Not once did a team score more than three runs on them, shutting down some high-powered offenses. That includes 3 shutouts.

In the playoffs "Our D" met some stiff competition early, edging out the #3 "Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe" by the score of 2-1. As it turns out, that would be the more competitive game. "2 Legit 2 Kick" took care of business on their end in the first round with an 8-3 win, but may have used all of their mojo for the first game because in the championship it was all "Our D".

Congratulations to "Our D Always Comes Ready to Play" on the fantastic season, finishing with a very strong +43 point differential thanks in part to their incredible D. Well done!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
