Join other Xoso players in volunteering for Clean Up America for Earth Day in Sacramento. This event is hosted by "America's Future and American Conservation Coalition".
Join the group on Sunday, April 21st, right in front of the California Capitol Building at 2:00pm! Hannah Henriksen is the point of contact.
Shortly after 2:00pm, groups will set off to walk around town and pick up trash on their route to Midtown Spirits!
Meet up Location: The Capitol Building, 1315 10th Street Sacramento, CA 95814
At the meet up spot, groups will be given trash bags and gloves, then will be sent off to choose their own route on the trek to the end location.

Food Distribution Prep and Set-up: Help RCFB prepare for our emergency food distributions! Volunteers will sort donated foods, bag bulk items, set up for our choice model food distribution, etc.
The following are required for all volunteers:
• Closed-toe shoes
• Comfortable clothing for working outdoors
• Ability to stand, lift, push and pull items (many volunteers positions are physical in nature and may include long periods of standing or moving)

Join the group on Sunday, May 4, for a Clean-Up on the Parkway at Township9 Park. Please arrive by 8:50am to sign in and receive a safety briefing. Volunteers will head out to clean by 9:10am.

Volunteer with Xoso for a day of planting in the American River Parkway Foundation's (ARPF) Native Plant Garden! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference while enjoying the beauty of springtime.
Event Date: Tuesday, May 7
Volunteer Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: ARPF Native Plant Garden, 5700 Arden Way, Carmichael, CA 95608
Join the team to help with spring planting tasks such as laying mulch, watering plants, and pulling weeds. Please arrive by 8:50 AM for sign-in and a brief safety orientation.
Where to Park:
Volunteers can park in the ARPF parking lot, along the road in front of the garden, or at William B Pond with a volunteer parking pass.
What to Wear:
Comfortable, sturdy closed-toe shoes, a hat, long pants, long sleeves, and gloves are recommended. Also, don't forget sunscreen and bug spray to stay protected.
What to Bring:
Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and remember to take breaks as needed. It's important to watch for signs of heat exhaustion and stay safe while volunteering.

Set up Crew:

As part of the setup team, you'll be helping to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere by setting up tables, decorations, food stations, and other essential elements for the festival. If you have a truck, that's a big plus! Also, headlamp to help navigate in the early hours.
Clean up Crew:
Clean-Up Shift: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
As a member of the clean-up crew, you'll help take down the festival by breaking down equipment, collecting supplies, and ensuring the area is clean and tidy. If you have a truck, we could really use your help to transport items back to the ARPF office.

Food Distribution Prep and Set-up: Help RCFB prepare for our emergency food distributions! Volunteers will sort donated foods, bag bulk items, set up for our choice model food distribution, etc.
The following are required for all volunteers:
• Closed-toe shoes
• Comfortable clothing for working outdoors
• Ability to stand, lift, push and pull items (many volunteers positions are physical in nature and may include long periods of standing or moving)

Description: Set up tables, chairs, lights, and decorations. Help with moving supplies from the office to the event location. We also need a few volunteers with trucks to move larger items.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Be prepared to carry supplies.
Bartender Crew
Shift: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Description: Pour beer and wine, set up glasses, uncork wine, open kegs, and mix the signature cocktail. Help the caterer and bartending staff as needed. You must be 21 years or older to volunteer for this role.
What to Wear: White shirt/top, black pants/professional shorts, and closed-toe shoes.
Clean-Up Crew
Shift: 8:45 PM - 10:30 PM
Description: Take down tables, chairs, and lights. Pack up decorations, and return supplies to the office. A few volunteers with trucks are needed to move larger items.
What to Wear: Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and a headlamp. Be prepared for physical tasks.

This shift has only 2 spots available, so please sign up as soon as you are confident you can make it.
Volunteer schedule from Explore Midtown:
• 11:30 a.m. - Meet with Midtown Association staff, briefing on set-up plan.
• 11:35 a.m. - Set up info tent, serve as MA staff liaison for vendor or visitor questions.
• 12:00 p.m. - Programming and music begin.
• 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Answer questions and provide information about Second Saturday at the information tent.
• 4:00 p.m. - Tear down info tent and pack supplies.
• Each volunteer to take a 30-minute break, one at 2:30 p.m. and one at 3:00 p.m.
Location:
• Muir Park, 16th and C Street.
July Activities planned:
- Lowrider car show
- Interactive graffiti wall where visitors are allowed to spray paint on
- Art activity and sensory bins
- Introductory dance lessons for all levels - 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1-hour
