A Fitting Ending

The "Misfits" are our Thursday softball champions, taking down the "Stingers" in a 12-7 win.

It was an up and down regular season for our champs, who were right around .500 for a majority of the season, going 3-3 for the first 6 games while alternating wins and losses, before hitting their stride. They finished the season with a two-game winning streak, enough to put them in second place for the playoffs and on a bit of a hot streak.

In the first round of the playoffs the "Misfits" got a great draw facing a "Ballbarians" squad they had taken down twice already. Thanks to their 2 previous wins they exuded confidence throughout the game, winning comfortably by the score of 12-6.

In the championship game the "Misfits" stayed hot offensively, putting up another 12-spot on the "Stingers" and securing the league title. Oddly enough, the 12-7 scoreline was the mirror image of the last time the two met when the "Stingers" won in the 2nd week of the regular season.

Congratulations to "Misfits" on the championship!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
