A Night for Underdogs!

The Thursday Cornhole playoffs were all about the underdog last night, with the two lowest seeded teams making the championship despite their tough competition.

The night started off with #5 "Unicorns" winning their first round matchup in a quick 3-0 sweep. #6 "Ties R Us" did the same, knocking out a "Cornhole Bandits" team that had lost two their last two games after starting off with six straight wins.

In the second round of the playoffs our underdogs faced the two top teams from the regular season. Unlike their first round sweeps, the two games in round two went the full 5 games. Both "Unicorns" and "Ties R Us" were able to fend off the two biggest favorites to win reach the championship.

In a night of upset victories it was the truest underdog, the sixth seed "Ties R Us", who won it all. The improbably victor closed out their season with a decisive 3-1 win over "Unicorns" in the championship game, sealing their fate as one of the greatest underdog stories.

Congratulations to "Ties R Us" on the title!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
