"The Squad" Rides On

"The Squad" is our Friday Night Softball league champion following a strong 7-1 season to end the year. It was a two-horse race for the second-half of the season, and thanks to some great softball "The Squad" ends the year on top.

Defense wins championships, and that was proven once again this season. They may not have had the best run differential this season, but they did have the best defense, allowing just 23 runs scored through 8 games. That bests the team who was hot on their tail all season and ended in second place, "Cleats & Cleavage", who gave up 29 total runs.

It's also said that every game counts, and this season was no different. Little did they know at the time, but their 7-2 win over "Cleats & Cleavage" in week 2 ended up being the difference. Had the result gone a different way, we might have an alternate champion. Instead, they rose to the occasion against a tough opponent and were able to pick up that important win.

Congratulations to "The Squad" on their championship, in a season where their defense was second to none. We hope to see them return next year to defend their title!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
