"Here 4 Beer" is our Tuesday Soccer League champion after a strong showing in the playoffs. Formerly our Thursday night back-to-back champion they decided to switch things up, but by the end of the season it was the same story, they were champions again.
From the start of the season we had an inkling that it would be a two horse race between "Here 4 Beer" and "Plan B", and by the time we hit the championship game that's what it boiled down to. "Plan B" had won the Tuesday night championship for the past two seasons and did everything they could to make it three. Unfortunately for them "Here 4 Beer" showed up and spoiled the party.
Throughout the season "Here 4 Beer" showed why they are one of our very best teams, going 6-1-1 in their eight games. Their lone loss came at the beginning of the season to "Plan B", but after that our eventual champions riddled off a nine-game unbeaten streak (including playoffs). That includes a convincing 5-1 win over "Tree City" in round one of the playoffs and a 1-0 championship win over the defending champion "Plan B".
Overall another fantastic season for "Here 4 Beer", for whom championships have become the norm. We look forward to having them again next season to see if they can make it four straight championships!
