Who says adults can't have recess?

XOSO in Napa Valley Register

Marty James, Executive Sports Editor for the Napa Valley Register, featured XOSO's upcoming Napa dodgeball league in his column today:

Registration is under way for a new dodgeball program, which starts on June 23 at the Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley. It’s available to men and women age 21 and over and is a sport and social club offering.

“It’s fun and a great way to meet people,” said Nick Berruezo, the program’s director, who is originally from Napa.

Berruezo founded Xoso Sport and Social League, which started with adult coed sports leagues in Sacramento two years ago, and now he’s expanding it to bring dodgeball to Napa.

“Sport and social clubs have popped up in major cities around the country over the past seven years, and I’m hoping to bring some of the same fun to smaller communities as well,” said Berruezo, a 1998 Napa High School graduate.

The Napa dodgeball program has a sign-up special: buy-one get-one 50 percent off. Players can sign up without a full team. To register, go to www.xososports.com.

The dodgeball league is Sacramento has about 300 players in the Wednesday night league and 150 in a new Thursday night league.
