Kickin' it Old Skool

Do you remember what it was like to walk to home plate, ready to kick your team to glory before the recess bell rang? Well, Kickin' it Old Skool does, and they made the most of the memories last night in the summer Indoor Kickball playoffs.

Coming in as the #3 seed, they knocked off We Kick Balls, getting revenge for a week 1 defeat with a score of 14-11. It was an even matchup throughout the game, with Kickin' it Old Skool staying ahead by three to five runs each inning. Every time We Kick Balls cut into the lead in the top of the inning, they answered in the bottom half.

In the earlier game of the night, the undefeated Fanny Packers went down to the defending champions, Kicks n Giggles. It was a defensive battle for most of the game with the score tied at zero after two innings and with The Fanny Packers leading 1-0 after three. All the kicks seemed to fall in the right place in the 4th inning, and Kicks n Giggles went on to win 14-3.

The championship matchup was all Kickin' it Old Skool for most of the game, both offensively and defensively. They jumped out in front 8-0 in the top of the 1st inning and kept adding to their lead as the game wore on, leading 17-6 going into the bottom of the final inning. Kicks n Giggles tried to mount a furious comeback, but fell short when Kickin' it Old Skool made a throw to the plate to get the final out, halting the comeback and winning the game 17-13.
