Defending Champs take home their 3rd Consecutive Flip Cup Championship!

Yesterday Xoso hosted our third flip cup tournament, and privately wondered if anyone would be able to knock off the defending champions.

Coming back with a third different lineup in three tournaments, the newly renamed "The Outie Vaginas" managed to keep their track record intact, and in more dominating fashion than ever before.

Last weekend we had our 2nd Flip Cup Tournament, and it could not have gone any better!

We had 12 amazing teams, with great costumes, fun attitudes, and great flipping skills. Plus, we had a killer bar, Blue Cue, as our host.

The event ran from 1:00pm until almost 5pm, and the winners had more than their share of beer, needing eight matches (Best of 11) to win it all.

How do you win the $500?

All you have to do is:

  • Be a current or former Xoso player
  • Refer more "Brand new to Xoso" players to sign up for a league than anyone else

Bring a toy for "Toys for Tots"!

Xoso will be collecting toys for donation to the "Toys for Tots" organization, a non-profit organization run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

If you'd like to help out, please bring in a new, unwrapped toy to the Boys and Girls Club (on 12th and G Street) between Sunday, December 5th, and Wednesday, December 15th. Ask the front desk for assistance or bring it into the gymnasium during a Xoso game.

Sacramento's bowling season is now under way!

This is not your Dad's boring bowling league! Xoso’s new league targets social bowlers who care more about having fun and meeting new people than being stuck in a serious league with the same super-competitive players for six months or more! Xoso Coed Bowling is six weeks of fun, drinks and social people… if you happen to throw a strike or two in the meantime, great!!

Teams may register up to 6 bowlers.

If your balls tend to like the gutters, don’t worry! Scores will include handicaps to balance things out.

POSTPONED: Kickball Opening Day

Good morning kickballers!

Sorry for the late notice; we've been debating postponing kickball today due to the incoming storm and have finally decided that it will be much more fun to kick off the season next week in the sun. With winds over 20mph and rain increasing throughout the afternoon it wouldn't be nice to bring you all out of your warm homes and make you drive in this weather.

We're pushing the season back one week, so if you plan your game times weeks in advance, make note!

Sacramento Flip Cup Champions!

The XOSO Flip Cup Tournament was a huge success! "Smack it up, Flip it, Rub it down" won it all by defeating "Drink til she's pretty!" in the final round.

Eight teams faced off in the double elimination tourney. "Drink til she's pretty!" made it back to the championship after losing to "Smack it up, Flip it, Rub it down" in the first round. They had a lot of hard fought battles, matches that came down to the last round, in order to win their Chipotle.

Pirates vs Ninjas Pub Crawl Recap

Thanks for coming out to our big Pirates vs. Ninjas pub crawl last Saturday! It's hard to say how many people there were total, since different factions moved on ahead and others stayed behind. Estimates have ranged anywhere from 100 to 200. Regardless, everyone had a blast.

We had pirate ships, ninja turtles, pirate/ninjas, and even Chun Li from Street Fighter. Check out the photos and re-live the night!

Summer Sacramento Dodgeball Champions!

Megatron's Jock Strap was almost derailed last night on their way to a perfect, undefeated season. After barely losing a game all season, they were pushed to overtime in their first matchup of the night against Beans and Rice. Playing shorthanded, with only 6 players all night, didn't faze MJS in the end. They won in overtime, came back to beat Ball Sac, and then prevailed over Balls Deep in the final championship matchup!

Balls Deep didn't have an easy road either, heading to overtime against Out Like a Fat Kid in the semi-finals on their road to the Finals.

XOSO's One Year Anniversary!

Today marks the one year anniversary of XOSO. It began last summer with 5 kickball teams and has grown ever since, thanks to all the great people that have joined over the past year!

Without the fun personalities we have playing with XOSO, our players wouldn't come back every season to make new friends, talk a little trash, and knock back beer after beer at the flip cup table.

Thank you to everyone who has supported XOSO over the past year. We're looking forward to another great one ahead of us!
